It is a mistake to use precision gauges such as vernier calipers, dial gauges, and dial gauges to measure forgings or surfaces with abrasives (such as emery), which can wear out quickly and lose precision.
Three, measuring tools in the process of use, do not pile up with tools, tools such as file, hammer, turning tool and drill, to avoid bruising measuring tools. Also do not put casually on the machine tool, because machine tool vibration and make measuring tools fall down damage. In particular, vernier calipers should be placed flat in a special box to avoid deformation of the ruler body.
Measuring tools are measuring tools and cannot be used as substitutes for other tools. For example, it is wrong to use a vernier caliper to draw lines, a percentage ruler as a small hammer, a steel ruler as a screwdriver screw, and a steel ruler to clean up chips. Measuring tools when toys, such as holding a percentage ruler in the hands of arbitrary waving or shaking, etc., is also wrong, are easy to make measuring tools lose precision.
Five, the temperature has a great influence on the measurement results, the precision measurement of the parts must make the parts and measuring tools are measured at 20℃. Generally can be measured at room temperature, but the workpiece must be the same temperature as the measuring tool, otherwise, due to the characteristics of the metal material expansion and contraction, so that the measurement results are not accurate. Temperature also has a great influence on the accuracy of measuring tools. Measuring tools should not be placed in the sunlight or on the headboard, because the correct size of measuring tools cannot be measured when the temperature rises. Do not put the precision measuring tool in the vicinity of a heat source (such as an electric furnace, a heat exchanger, etc.), so as not to make the measuring tool deformed by heat and lose precision.
