1. Selection of molding material: the injection molding material required by the customer in the early stage is chi mei ABS (pa-757). GDM compares the two materials of LG ABS (hg-173) in various aspects through CAE analysis, as shown in the following table:
As can be seen from the above table, the overall feasibility of choosing hg-173 material is better than that of choosing pa-757 material. Because the product has higher requirements on appearance, especially the requirement that the weld line is not visible, it should be selected with good fluidity and allow high mold temperature of the material forming. GDM suggests that hg-173 material should be selected for molding, and oil temperature should be selected for molding conditions.
2. Optimization of mold structure: through ug-nx advanced simulation, the mold strength and fatigue analysis software were used to calculate the better thickness ratio of the mold template, so as to guarantee the life of the mold and lower the cost of the mold. The internal mold is interlocked to ensure the uniform force on the side side of the mold cavity and avoid the force expansion in the process of injection.
